INFORMATION FOR MICARE-FUNDED DELEGATES

MiCare will fund participating hospitals to attend the EPIQ Conference (Feb 9 – 11) in the following manner:

 

EPIQ

  • 2 NICU DELEGATES PER SITE
  • 2 HOTEL ROOMS PER SITE
  •  

 

CPTBN

  • 1 MFM/OB DELEGATE PER SITE
  • 1 HOTEL ROOM PER SITE

 

CNFUN

  • 1 DELEGATE PER SITE THAT ACTIVELY CONTRIBUTES DATA
  • 1 HOTEL ROOM PER SITE
 

Funding statuses are determined by Site Investigators of EPIQ, CPTBN and CNFUN.
Please confirm your funding status with your Site Investigator before registering.


All funded delegates will be covered for the following expenses:


Hotel Room

  • Hotel accommodations for the nights of February 9th and 10th
  • The Banff Centre has very limited rooms available on February 9th and 10th, and they are reserved for delegates on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Funded delegates must indicate check in/out dates on the registration form.
  • MiCare staff will book your hotel room at the Banff Centre OR a nearby hotel, based on availability.
  • Do not book using the Banff Centre public website, call-in to the Banff Centre, or any third party hotel booking company (e.g. Expedia, Hotels.com, etc.)
  • Upon registration, delegates will receive a confirmation email with hotel booking details.

 

Transportation

  • Economy airfare and baggage fees
    • Seat selection & travel insurance will not be reimbursed
  • Ground transportation to/from Calgary International Airport and the Banff Centre
    • From Calgary International Airport, there are a number of shuttle companies available. 
    • If you choose an alternate form of transportation from above, you will only be reimbursed up to $145 roundtrip.
  • Transportation to/from your home and your local airport will not be reimbursed
  • If you stay offsite, transportation to/from the hotel and the Banff Centre will not be reimbursed
  • Parking at the Banff Centre is complimentary
  • Refer to the “Transportation” page for more specific details

 

Meals

  • The following meals are offered at the EPIQ Conference:
    • February 9th:  PM Snack, Dinner
    • February 10th:  Breakfast, AM Snack, Lunch, PM Snack
    • February 11th:  Breakfast, AM Snack
  • All other meals will not be reimbursed (including in-flight meals and meals at airport)

 

Please keep all relevant receipts (itemized and debit/credit) and boarding passes.
